（1） 自我介紹是向別人展示你自己的一個重要手段，自我介紹好不好，甚至直接關系到你給別人的第一印象的好壞及以后交往的順利與否。
（2） 自我介紹不僅僅是展示自己的手段，同時，也是認識自我的手段。古人云：“知人者智，知己者明”，常言道：“旁觀者清，當局者迷”，可見，要想認識自我，給自己一個準確的定位不是一件容易的事情，而通過寫自我介紹，會對自己進行一個有意識的梳理。
2、 自我介紹的方式：
自我介紹可以有不同的方式，
（1）按照使用的語言來劃分：可以分為口頭的，書面的。我們這里主要講書面的自我介紹。
（2）從書面的自我介紹來看，可以有自傳性質的自我介紹，比如，像我們學習的《魯迅自傳》和《老舍自傳》兩篇文章就是這樣的自傳式的自我介紹。也可以有以事件為中心，突出個性特點的自我介紹。
3、 自我介紹的禁忌：
（1） 自我介紹最忌諱平淡無奇，不能夠把個人的特點展示出來。
（2） 自我介紹還忌諱寫成簡歷形式，缺少文學色彩。
